Baker has been named Cluster Tool Control Practice Manager and will drive the company's new cluster tool control initiatives.
A 19-year veteran of the semiconductor equipment industry, Baker was formerly leading architect and systems control manager for AIXTRON/Genus. There, he led the company's equipment automation software and controls design for its 300mm thin-film deposition cluster tools. He has also held senior systems engineering and technical lead positions at several established semiconductor industry brands, including Watkins-Johnson SEG and Prometrix, now part of KLA-Tencor. During his tenure at these companies, he was instrumental in designing and developing equipment automation software for a wide range of 300mm semiconductor manufacturing cluster tool equipment. Throughout his career, Baker has designed data visualization tools, schedulers, data management systems, embedded systems, and equipment control systems. He has worked with metrology equipment, cluster tools, wafer handling, and process control with leading integrated device manufacturers and OEMs.
