The grand opening ceremonies begin on Friday, April 11, at 8:00 a.m., when world-class archer and Gander Mountain Elite Pro-Staff member Ray Howell cuts the ceremonial ribbon with an arrow shot from 30 yards.
Country music star John Michael Montgomery will welcome customers to the new Gander Mountain store from 10:00 a.m. until noon on Saturday, April 12. His musical career spans twelve albums and his hits include "I Swear," "Be My Baby Tonight," and "I Can Love You Like That." Montgomery has earned 15 number one singles, sold more than 16 million albums and received numerous industry awards.
Several well-known outdoor enthusiasts will help celebrate throughout the grand opening weekend. Fishing legend Roland Martin and outdoor television host and hunting personality Michael Waddell will be on hand to share their outdoor expertise and experiences with customers.
Kathleen Baty (the SafetyChick) will present two personal safety seminars, one on Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and another on Saturday from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.

Gander Mountain's 120,000 square foot store in Palm Beach Gardens will be a community attraction with its innovative products tailored to Florida's outdoors enthusiasts, quality customer service and exclusive Tall Tales-Real Food restaurant. Visitors to the store will find firearms, equipment for hunting and fishing (including a large assortment of salt water products and a fly shop), archery, scuba diving gear, a variety of apparel and footwear, camping equipment, and gifts. Fishing and power boats, ATVs, canoes and kayaks will be displayed inside and outside the store and there will be a special interior dock system display.
The store offers a full range of services including on-site gunsmiths, a fine gun showroom, three bays for ATV service and repair, an elevated archery lane and full-service archery shop, line winding, boat and motor service and a staff of associates with a wealth of knowledge about the outdoor products they provide. The store will also contain a "Gander Mountain Lodge," a meeting room provided free of charge for meetings of local outdoor, business or community groups. During the year, Gander Mountain provides educational courses for outdoor enthusiasts in the Lodge. It offers more hunter safety programs through its lodges than any other source in the United States.
