TAMPA, Fla., April 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Gulfstream Natural Gas System L.L.C. today announced the appointment of David Shammo as vice president, overseeing the various business aspects of the pipeline including marketing, business development, finance, and regulatory.
Shammo most recently served as director of business development for Spectra Energy's Southeast assets. He has held positions in project performance management, accounting, marketing and business development with Spectra Energy and its predecessor companies (Panhandle Eastern Corporation, Pan Energy and Duke Energy) for the past 27 years.
Shammo earned a bachelor of science in business administration degree from the University of Akron in Akron, Ohio.
A native of Ohio, Shammo will relocate to the Tampa area from Houston.
Placed into service in May 2002, Gulfstream Natural Gas System L.L.C. is a 691-mile pipeline system with the capacity to deliver 1.1 billion cubic feet of natural gas each day to serve Florida's growing energy needs. The pipeline is a joint development between Williams and Spectra Energy .
