NATICK, Mass., May 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Boston Scientific Corporation announced today that a World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) arbitration panel has issued its ruling in an arbitration between the Company and Medinol, Ltd. Medinol, which had requested the arbitration pursuant to the 2005 settlement agreement between the companies, alleged that the Liberte(R) and TAXUS(R) Liberte(R) stents infringed various U.S. and European patents held by Medinol. The arbitrators ruled that the Boston Scientific stents do not infringe any of the Medinol patents.
Under the terms of the settlement agreement, Medinol has a right to appeal to another WIPO panel.
