Atari, Inc. Appoints Tim Flynn Senior Vice President of Sales

NEW YORK, June 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Atari, Inc. (OTC Pink Sheets: ATAR), an interactive entertainment company, announced today the appointment of Tim Flynn as its Senior Vice President of Sales, effective immediately, reporting to CEO and President, Jim Wilson.

Mr. Flynn has more than 30 years of sales and retail experience in the video game and technology industries with companies including Capcom, Hip Interactive, Sega and Psygnosis. He brings to Atari, Inc. a proven sales and management record having successfully led the re-building and growth of numerous sales organizations.

Mr. Wilson commented, "Tim brings to Atari, Inc. a great deal of industry experience. His stellar track record as a sales executive combined with his focus, energy and management skills make him an ideal person to spearhead sales efforts in North America and position us as a leader in sales and distribution."

Most recently, Mr. Flynn served as Vice President of Sales - The Americas for Capcom U.S.A., Inc., where he helped restructure and grow the third-party video game publisher. He was responsible for all sales and sales operations in the United States, Canada, Latin America and South America.

Prior to joining Capcom, Mr. Flynn was Vice President of U.S. Sales at Hip Interactive, Inc. where he assisted in the reorganization of the U.S. sales team and oversaw sales of Hip console and PC games and third-party game accessories to North American retail and distribution channels. Before that he spent four years at Sega of America, Inc., most recently as Director of North American Sales and two years at Psygnosis, Inc., where he served as Eastern Regional Sales Director.

Before entering the video game industry, Mr. Flynn spent 15 years as a sales executive with other high tech companies including Creative Labs, Supermac Technology, Xerox and Texas Instruments. Prior to that, he served as a sports marketing consultant to Polaroid and Head Varsity Ice Hockey Coach at Bentley College in Waltham, MA. Mr. Flynn holds a BS in marketing from Boston University.
