Defense Technology International (DTI) Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) Statement Released

NEW YORK, June 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Released yesterday, the first Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) statement for Defense Technology International (DTI) confirms that DTI has the highest circulation among defense technology publications (37,481), with 64% directly requesting a subscription. These statistics certify DTI's high demand, especially among those who make critical decisions on defense requirements, strategy, programs, technology acquisition, and military operations.

"The results of the official ABC audit underscore what we have been telling the market since DTI launched three years ago," said Gregory D. Hamilton, publisher, DTI. "We are proud to share this further example of how we are delivering on our promise of making the necessary investments to provide integrated intelligence to the defense community with a world-class editorial product, team of journalists, and online and event resources.

Additional highlights from the ABC statement include: -- DTI's average global circulation is 37,481 in 150 countries, the highest circulation among defense publications and 1,000 subscribers ahead of #2, Defense News. -- 64% of DTI subscribers are personal direct-request vs. the target (and new-publication norm) of 50%. This is a powerful indicator of audience demand. -- 41% of DTI subscribers are outside the U.S. and 38% are outside North America, with circulation distribution mapped closely to today's global military budgets. -- 9,700 of our subscribers represent the industry, with a concentration among prime contractors. This critical competitive differentiator provides advertisers with a complete range of potential buyers, influencers and partners. -- 66% of subscribers are in senior management positions and 25% are middle-ranked managers, including industry program managers, military program executive officers, and acquisition officials. -- DTI has 93% qualified circulation within the first year.

DTI, part of the McGraw-Hill Companies' AVIATION WEEK portfolio, is an integrated media business dedicated to covering the interplay of defense technology, funding, operations, programs and policies. Worldwide print circulation includes 37,481 military, government and defense industry decision-makers, as well as defense infrastructure opinion leaders and influencers. In addition to the magazine, the DTI media portfolio includes the ARES defense blog for daily insight and events and management forums.
