WorldHeart Announces Voluntary Delisting from the Toronto Stock Exchange

OAKLAND, Calif., June 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- -- World Heart Corporation (the "Company") announced today that the Company has determined to voluntarily delist its common shares from the Toronto Stock Exchange. The Company's business moved primarily to the United States in 2005 and approximately 80% of the stock trades occur on the NASDAQ Capital Market. The common shares will be delisted from the Toronto Stock Exchange at the end of the day on Friday, June 13, 2008.

The Company's common shares continue to be listed on the NASDAQ Capital Market.
