NEW YORK, June 24 /PRNewswire/ -- The DDB Worldwide network won 48 Lions at the 55th International Advertising Festival in Cannes this year. The network's performance was led by 20 offices in 16 countries and spanned 7 categories ranging from Promo to Radio, Outdoor, Media, Cyber, Film and Print.
In print, DDB South Africa in Johannesburg was awarded the Grand Prix for work on behalf of the agency's Energizer client. In commenting on the win, Print Jury President Craig Davis, chief creative officer of JWT London, told Adweek magazine that the jurists unanimously agreed the DDB work was the most distinctive of the submissions. Jurists also said the work stood out because of the humanity it brought to the campaign.
The Print Grand Prix and DDB's total of 48 Lions overall landed the network the number 2 spot in the Network of the Year competition. In addition, DDB London was ranked third in the Agency of the Year competition.
