Tenet Healthcare Corporation (NYSE: THC) today announced Dan Bowers as chief executive officer of John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital, a 145-bed acute care regional medical center located in Indio, Calif. He will report to Jeffrey Flocken, senior vice president of operations for Tenet's California region.

Mr. Bowers is an experienced healthcare executive who has been with Tenet since 1997 serving most recently as CEO of San Dimas Community Hospital, a 64-bed facility. Prior to this he served as CEO at Joellen Smith Regional Medical Center, a 211-bed facility in New Orleans, Louisiana. He has also served in executive leadership positions in both investor owned and not-for-profit systems. Bowers holds a bachelor's in nursing from Winona State University, and a master's of science in Organizational Development/Human Resources Management from Chapman University.
