CSK Auto Corporation (NYSE:CAO), parent company of CSK Auto, Inc., presented the Boys & Girls Clubs of America last week with a check in the amount of $815,538, representing the net proceeds from the 2007 sales of the Company's classic car calendar. CSK sells its calendars throughout its chain of more than 1,300 retail auto parts stores in 22 states. According to the Boys & Girls Clubs' Vice President of the Pacific Region, Linda Rahn, Boys & Girls Clubs of America will use the money to support the organization's national initiatives, as well as to provide ten transportation vehicles to Boys & Girls Clubs located in markets served by CSK stores.
CSK Auto, Inc., a retailer of automotive parts and accessories, operates 1,345 stores in 22 states (as of May 4, 2008) under four brand names: Checker Auto Parts in Hawaii, Rocky Mountain, Southwestern, and Northern Plains states; Schuck's Auto Supply in the Pacific Northwest and Alaska; Kragen Auto Parts in California; and Murray's Discount Auto Parts in the Midwest.
