Genesis Underwriting Management Company is pleased to announce the following promotions and organizational changes.
Jill L. Eaton has been named Manager of the Company's Public Entity Division. Jill will also continue to lead the Division's Western Region. For much of the past decade, Jill has focused exclusively on this business segment and was instrumental in developing unique products such as the Genesis School Violent Acts Policy. The Public Entity Division provides insurance solutions to governmental entities, schools, colleges and universities, as well as reinsurance for governmental pools, trusts, risk retention groups and captives specializing in the public and educational sectors.
Kevin L. Williams has been promoted to manage the Reinsurance & Insurance Programs Division, a new platform that combines the Company's former Captive & Reinsurance Division with its Commercial Insurance Division. This combination optimizes Genesis's ability to deliver customized solutions for both alternative risk facilities (such as single parent captives, group captives and risk retention groups) and specialized insurance programs. The Division's focus will be primarily on liability lines, including automobile, general liability, E&O and medical professional. Kevin has extensive experience in the reinsurance and insurance market with Genesis. In addition to his new responsibilities, Kevin will continue to manage the Chicago Public Entity branch.
Mary T. Hogan, a senior underwriter in the Company's Chicago Captives & Reinsurance branch, has been promoted to Genesis Marketing Manager, a newly-created position. Mary will assume responsibility for development and coordination of companywide and branch marketing activities. Mary joined the General Re Group in 1984 and has served in a variety of underwriting and marketing roles within the Group. Mary will continue her focus on expanding Genesis's role in the medical professional captive segment, in addition to her new marketing leadership responsibilities.
"With each of these changes, Genesis demonstrates its commitment to the segments we serve," said Bob Jones, Chief Operating Officer of Genesis Underwriting Management Company. "We continue to enhance the Genesis brand that is widely recognized for its experienced decision-makers delivering customized insurance and reinsurance products in the alternative risk market."
