NEW YORK, Aug. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Duff & Phelps Corporation , a leading provider of independent financial advisory and investment banking services, today announced that Kenneth Halperin has joined the company as a managing director in the firm's Washington, D.C. Metro office. Halperin brings over 20 years of experience in transaction structuring, negotiation support and mergers and acquisitions to the Duff & Phelps Due Diligence practice.

Halperin joins the firm from American Capital Strategies, where he was vice president of Due Diligence. During his tenure at American Capital Strategies, he performed and managed both pre-investment and post-investment due diligence for over 200 portfolio companies. Halperin also built a team to develop broad-based financial, tax and IT due diligence capabilities. Prior to his role at American Capital Strategies, Halperin served as a director in the Transaction Services Group at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP where he represented both strategic and financial buyers in over 100 merger, acquisition, joint venture, spin-off, divestiture and carve-out transactions. Halperin holds a B.B.A. in accounting from Emory University, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
