ALBANY, N.Y., Aug. 26 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- StratoComm Corporation (STCO) has elected to cancel the special shareholder meeting previously scheduled for Monday, September 29, 2008.

"I realized that the date selected for the special meeting conflicted with an important religious observance," stated Roger D. Shearer, StratoComm's CEO. "Alternate dates that would have enabled a shorter postponement have been considered and deemed to be unworkable largely due to prior company commitments requiring key senior management to be unavailable."
The matters to have been placed before StratoComm's shareholders at the September special meeting will now be included in StratoComm's first annual meeting, which is scheduled for the second Monday in April 2009. This scheduling will provide shareholders opportunity to review StratoComm's performance during its first year as a fully operating company.
