Forsythe Technology, Inc., the 37-year old national provider of technology infrastructure services, announced today that the former Information Security Technology, Inc. (IST), which was acquired on August 31, 2007, has been fully integrated into Forsythe and will now operate under the Forsythe name. For the past year it had operated as a distinct subsidiary under the name IST, a Forsythe Company.
With the acquisition a year ago, Forsythe entered the Canadian market for IT infrastructure solutions and enhanced its enhanced range of information security offerings and capabilities. Forsythe now serves more than 300 customers in Canada. Forsythe has 46 offices in the U.S. and Canada, including Calgary, Toronto, and Winnipeg. The name change affects Forsythe's operations in Calgary, Winnipeg; St. Paul, Minnesota; and Columbus, Ohio.
IST was Forsythe's third major acquisition of a security services company in six years, and has since been followed by Forsythe's April 2008 acquisition of the storage integration company More Group, Inc.
"Information security is an element in every aspect of business and IT operations, affecting every piece of technology, every process and every person," comments Forsythe president Bill Brennan. "We are very pleased to have integrated IST's strong information security business into Forsythe's comprehensive IT infrastructure solutions model, which identifies and addresses interdependencies across all areas of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers and storage as well as security."
Forsythe provides technology and business consulting; technology leasing services; value-added reseller services for all the leading technology product manufacturers; training in security and storage infrastructure; business continuity and disaster recovery solutions; data center strategy, engineering and migration services; IT service management; IT strategy and business systems management.
