4DK Technologies, Inc. is looking for the most talented developers in the wireless industry to join them in their effort to "up-end" the normally tedious process of bringing wireless applications to market. With the first 4DK Talent SCout™ Innovation Contest, the company is inviting developers to vie for a $10,000 cash prize. The winning developer will also have an opportunity to work with 4DK to develop the winning application for a demo at CTIA Wireless 2009.
"4DK has always held that platforms should adapt to developers, rather than the other way around. We are all about breaking down the walls between applications on mobile devices and the barriers that developers face when they have a great new mobile application," said Tamara Casey, 4DK CEO and president.
"The Talent SCout contest is designed to showcase the capabilities inherent in our SCout service platform while we demonstrate how easy it is for a developer to create and quickly bring to market new services that provide operators with new revenue streams, enhance a mobile user's experience and make developers' lives a whole lot less stressful," Casey continued.
The company is highlighting SCout, which is part of its SuperConnectivity® product suite at Booth # 353 at CTIA WIRELESS IT & Entertainment in San Francisco. Interested developers can also learn more about the contest at http://www.4dk.com/talentscout.
"This is an "˜innovation' contest, so we want developers to bring the best they've got," Casey continued. "4DK was born out of our collective frustration over why our mobile devices cannot do what we know they could and should be able to do - we're looking for like-minded developers who want to work with us to improve the wireless experience."
The 4DK SuperConnectivity® product suite is designed to simplify interoperability for everyone in the wireless ecosystem, from application developers to infrastructure and handset OEMs, from MVNOs to wireless operators and the end user.
The SCout service platform is a customizable and flexible standards-agnostic platform that fosters service and application interoperability. SCout delivers new services in a way dictated by the user's location, preferences and context.
