Highlights of the 2009 season include two new self-drive tours to Homer and Valdez, two escorted land tour itineraries, the popular Denali Sampler and the ability to customize any itinerary to suit each traveler's schedule and desired route.
"What sets Gray Line apart is the ability to customize any tour," said Mark Mumm, director of sales and marketing. "We have the knowledge and infrastructure -- day boats, trains, motor coaches -- at our fingertips. While we do have a number of pre-planned tours available, we are proud of the expertise and personal attention we dedicate to each guest or group to create their ideal travel itinerary or customize an existing tour."
Self-Drive Tours

Escorted Group Tours
For those travelers who want to explore Alaska while enjoying the camaraderie of a group, there are two pre-planned group tours available. Guests traveling on an escorted tour enjoy the convenience of a tour guide accompanying them for the entire trip to handle logistics and provide information. The Escorted Great Land Explorer is an eight-day tour from Fairbanks to Anchorage visiting Talkeetna, Denali and Seward. The Escorted Alaska Explorer is an eight-day tour roundtrip from Anchorage visiting Talkeetna, Denali, Alyeska and Seward.
Denali Tours
Visiting Denali National Park for a chance to see wildlife and spectacular Mt. McKinley is at the top of most people's list of things to do in Alaska. Gray Line offers a number of tours. The most popular is the three-day, two-night Denali Sampler. The tour begins with overnight accommodations in Anchorage or Fairbanks before traveling via a deluxe motor coach or on the luxurious McKinley Explorer train to Denali. An extra night in Denali may be added and all transfers are included.
