The Farmers Insurance Group of Companies is ready to help its customers file claims following Hurricane Ike. Farmers has an army of claims adjusters and representatives ready to help Texans rebuild following this devastating storm.
"If early reports are any indicator, there is significant damage to property spanning hundreds of miles," said Larry Pratt, State Executive Director of Farmers in Texas. "We knew this hurricane would be bad and we began deploying people, resources and equipment to potentially impacted areas 10 days ago. We were ready wherever this storm hit, and because of that preparation, we are able to start helping our customers, across Texas, immediately."
Farmers has more than 1,000 claims people ready to help customers file claims following Hurricane Ike. Hundreds of additional customer care representatives are also geared-up to help handle the increased call volume to Farmers' claims call center, HelpPoint.
"We also have a fleet of claims vehicles which we will dispatch into the hardest hit areas as soon as it is safe to do so," said Paul Quinn Assistant Vice President of Claims Communications for Farmers Insurance. "We want to help our customers rebuild from this hurricane as quickly as possible."
Farmers has two Mobile Catastrophe Claims (MCC) buses and 10 Customer Care Claims Vehicles (CCV) staged throughout Texas to be dispatched to the hardest hit areas of Texas. Farmers' Mobile Catastrophe Claims buses are 45' long and are equipped with state-of-the art satellite communications equipment; seven claims stations; water, supplies; laptop and telephone capability, and a built-in grill to serve meals to Farmers' customers and others in need. Farmers Customer Care Claims Vehicles are smaller versions of the buses to assist with claims and supply needs.
