Rainier Investment Management announced today that Michael D. Emery, CFA, has joined the firm's equity management team as senior equity portfolio manager and analyst. Mr. Emery will focus primarily on the technology and healthcare sectors, and he will report to Jim Margard, Rainier's chief investment officer and director of equity management.

Mr. Emery's 13 years investment experience include roles in research and analysis for Roger Engemann & Associates and Franklin Templeton Investments, and most recently as vice president and small-cap portfolio manager with Provident Investment Counsel. A Chartered Financial Analyst, he earned his BA in business administration from the University of Washington and MBA from Cornell University.
