This reply is in response to a query by the Singapore Exchange on * | 29/09/2008 |
Description * | Further to the Company''s announcements on Friday, 26 Septermber 2008, and today, in response to the Singapore Exchange "˜s query in relation to the substantial decrease in its share price, the Board of Directors of Keppel Telecommunications & Transportation Ltd ("KTT" or the "Company") wishes to announce that it has been informed by *Kapital Asia Pte Ltd on behalf of Agus Anwar, Tjia Han Liong Marcel and itself, who are substantial shareholders of the Company, that it had on Friday, 26 September 2008, sold a total of 2,658,000 shares in KT&T at the price range of between $4.00 to $3.50. It had continued to sell its shares in the Company today. However, the change in percentage level of their respective interests in the voting shares in the Company before and after the aforementioned trades on Friday and today, does not exceed one percent of the voting shares in the Company. In the light of the above information and in response to Question 2 of the Singapore Exchange''s query (i.e.; "Are you aware of any other possible explanation for the trading"), the Board of Directors of the Company wishes to say that a possible explanation for the substantial decrease in the KT&T''s share price is the forced selling of KT&T''s shares in the market on Friday, 26 September 2008, and today. * The interests of Agus Anwar and Tjia Han Liong Marcel arise from their controlling interests in Kapital Asia Pte Ltd.. |
