Clear Channel Radio today announced the promotion of Michael Oppenheimer to Market Manager of the company's six Memphis radio stations, effective immediately. In the position, Oppenheimer will oversee operations of radio stations KJMS-FM, WDIA-AM, WEGR-FM, WHAL-FM, WHRK-FM and WREC-AM.
For the past five years, Oppenheimer served as Market Manager for Clear Channel Radio's six-station cluster in Tulsa. A longtime Clear Channel Radio manager, Oppenheimer was previously Market Manager for Clear Channel Radio in Waco, General Manager of WRMX-FM Nashville, and held sales and programming positions at KHFI-FM in Austin.
"Michael achieved phenomenal results in leading our Tulsa team and stations, growing broadcast cash flow by more than 77 percent," said Mark Kopelman, Executive Vice President of Operations for Clear Channel Radio's mid-major markets. "We're looking forward to having his extensive experience and talent at work in Memphis."

Oppenheimer has been an active leader in his community, serving as board president of Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Central Texas and as a board member of the Texas Association of Broadcasters, the Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters, the Child Abuse Network, the Jewish Federation of Central Texas, the Jewish Federation of Middle Tennessee, and the Jewish Federation of Tulsa. He is an alumnus of Austin Community College.
Michael is married to his wife of 19 years, Lisa, and has two children, Lauren and Reese.
