Day Pitney LLP, a leading full-service law firm, announced today that Scott Beach, co-chair of the Private Equity and Investment Funds practice group, was named as a MS Corporate Achiever for the Class of 2008 by the Connecticut Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

MS Corporate Achievers is a leadership recognition program, which was established in 2000 by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Connecticut Chapter. The program honors some of Connecticut's greatest leaders and raises funds to support local programs and services, as well as multiple sclerosis research.
Beach, a resident of Redding, Conn., was named one of Fairfield County's"Forty Under 40" business leaders in 2006 by the Fairfield County Business Journal. He also coaches baseball for the Jesse P. Sanford Boys & Girls' Club of Redding.
Beach received his B.A. from Emory University in 1990 where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa, and his J.D. from George Washington University National Law Center in 1993 where he served on the George Washington Law Review and graduated with honors. He is admitted in the State of Connecticut and is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association. He is co-chair of the Business Law Committee of the Fairfield County Bar Association.
At Day Pitney, Beach represents private equity investors and emerging growth companies in various capacities, which include formation, financing, mergers and acquisitions, strategic joint ventures, and general corporate matters. In this role, he advises clients in structuring and forming private investment funds, investing in both public and private companies. In addition, Beach counsels investment fund principals and portfolio managers in connection with their employment and equity compensation arrangements.
