LEXINGTON, Ky., Oct. 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Lexmark International, Inc. today announced the appointment of Robert J. Patton as vice president, general counsel and secretary.
Patton, who has more than 20 years of experience in the corporate legal sector, joined Lexmark in 2001 as corporate counsel, focusing primarily on supporting Lexmark's business operations and litigation. In his new assignment, Patton is responsible for the worldwide operations of the company's legal department.
Prior to joining Lexmark, Patton spent 15 years at Xerox Corporation. His last position there was associate general counsel.
"Bob is well versed in multiple aspects of the law including litigation management, contracts, intellectual property law and employment issues," said Paul J. Curlander, Lexmark chairman and chief executive officer. "He is a strong addition to our senior management team."
