State of New Jersey Announces Intent to Award $50 Million Annual Transportation Contract to Providence's LogistiCare Subsidiary

TUCSON, Ariz. and ATLANTA, Nov. 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The Providence Service Corporation today announced that its LogistiCare subsidiary, the nation's largest coordinator of non-emergency transportation (NET) services, has received notice from the New Jersey Department of Human Services (DHS), Division of Medical Assistance and Health Services (DMAHS), of its intent to award a contract to manage its non-emergency transportation program for Medicaid recipients.

The contract, which will not be official until after the protest period, has an annual value of approximately $50.0 million. The award is also subject to finalized contracts and various processing procedures. The contract has a three-year term with two one-year renewal options.
