Capital One Bank today announced that Rob Anderson has been named chief financial officer for Commercial Banking.
A Senior Vice President in Capital One's Bank Finance group, Anderson oversees financial management activities of the Commercial Banking Segment. Based in Manhattan, he provides financial insight and guidance on strategic and operational matters related to Capital One's Commercial Banking Segment.
Anderson's career spans 20 years with key leadership positions in finance, strategic planning, acquisitions and accounting. He joins Capital One from Bank of America in Charlotte, N.C., where he held numerous finance roles and most recently served as senior vice president and finance lead for the LaSalle acquisition. Before that he was the chief financial officer of Business Banking, a business segment within the Commercial Bank at Bank of America.
"With his broad knowledge of banking and financial management and his extensive experience in strategic planning, Rob is a strong addition to the Capital One team," said Michael C. Slocum, Capital One's executive vice president of Commercial Banking. "He will be a key partner of our Commercial Banking executive management team as we continue to build on our progress and we look forward to the contributions he'll make."
A native of Warren, Ohio, Anderson received a bachelor's degree in accounting from The Ohio State University and a master's degree in business administration from Pepperdine University. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
