National Financial Partners Appoints Vicki Y. Evans President of NFP Life Brokerage

NEW YORK, Dec. 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- National Financial Partners Corp. , a national network of independent financial advisors specializing in life insurance and wealth transfer, corporate and executive benefits, and financial planning and investment advisory services, today announced that Vicki Y. Evans, senior vice president, NFP Insurance Services, Inc. has been appointed president of NFP Life Brokerage. Evans has served as acting head of this newly formed group since May 2008. As president, Evans will report to Jim Gelder, chief executive officer of NFP Insurance Services, Inc.

"Vicki has been instrumental in developing and implementing the strategies that will enable NFP's independent brokerage general agencies (BGAs) to expand their already sizable presence in the life brokerage market helping financial professionals deliver the best solutions to their clients," said Jessica Bibliowicz, chairman, president and chief executive officer. "NFP's life brokerage group empowers our BGAs to increase efficiencies and build revenues by leveraging common infrastructure, services, tools and technology, while retaining their independence and sharing their ideas."

NFP Life Brokerage is made up of seven NFP insurance and annuity product wholesalers that work with financial service professionals who serve the affluent market. These seven BGAs include ECA Marketing, Inc.; Gaines and Smith Financial Group, Inc.; M&M Brokerage Services, Inc.; National Insurance Brokerage, LLC; Total Financial & Insurance Services, Inc.; Universal Insurance Services of Florida, Inc.; and Windsor Insurance Associates, Inc. NFP Brokerage Insurance Services, Inc. (NFP Life Brokerage) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of NFP.

Prior to heading up NFP Life Brokerage, Evans served as senior vice president for NFP's Strategic Underwriting and Advanced Design, where she created its Special Case Unit to provide concierge services for large life insurance cases. Evans joined NFP in 2001 and has served as vice president of marketing and vice president of business development for PartnersFinancial, one of NFP's national membership organizations. Before joining NFP, Evans was a regional vice president for both Southwestern Life and Columbia Universal Life. Evans received her Bachelor of Business Administration in management from Southwest Texas State University and has a Chartered Life Underwriter designation.
