Military.com, a site within the Monster Worldwide network and the nation's largest military and veteran online membership organization, today announced it is joining forces with the Non Commissioned Officers Association (NCOA) to co-host Career Expos in 2009. Beginning in February, the companies will host "Military.com/NCOA Career Expos" to assist military members leaving the Armed Forces with finding quality employment following their dedicated service to our country. Military.com hosts the largest veteran job board in the world and NCOA has been a leader for many years in hosting military job fairs around the country.
"Over 250,000 servicemembers leave the military every year," said Loree Hirschman, vice president of Marketing at Military.com. "We are excited to be working closely with an association that has been assisting veterans for more than 30 years in their transition to a civilian career."
"This is a perfect match," said NCOA President Gene Overstreet, 12th Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps (Ret). "Companies will have high caliber events where they can exhibit for a reasonable fee and job seekers will have first-class events to begin their quest for quality employment following their military service."
Career Expos are scheduled to begin in February and will be held throughout the United States, most near military installations. The schedule of events and Career Expos information is available on Military.com and NCOAUSA.org.
Companies interested in sponsorship opportunities for the Military.com/NCOA Career Expos are asked to call Cliff "Scoop" Davis, NCOA executive director at (800) 662-2620, Ext.241 or via e-mail at execdir@ncoausa.org.
