LANHAM, Md., Dec. 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Integral Systems, Inc. , continues its focus on new business growth with today's announcement of two executive appointments to key business development positions within the company. James Frelk has been appointed Senior Vice President of Business Development. Joan Grewe has been appointed Vice President of Advanced Programs. These appointments are effective January 5, 2009.

James Frelk will lead corporate business development activities in support of Integral Systems' leadership position in providing integrated solutions for satellite communications (SATCOM)-interfaced networks. Previously, he has served as Deputy Associate Administrator of NASA, Vice President of Government Operations for Earthwatch and Senior Vice President of Government Programs for TerreStar. Frelk received a bachelor's degree from Northeastern Illinois University, majoring in three disciplines - Business Administration (Marketing), Political Science, and History.
Joan Grewe will lead Integral Systems' strategy in Advanced Programs, marshalling technology and capabilities across the enterprise in support of new markets and customers. Grewe is a retired Army officer and former deputy chief of staff of the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). She previously served as a subject matter expert in telecommunications service and restoration priority for the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). In addition, Grewe has served as director of DHS Services for Terrestar and National Security Liaison to the federal government for MCI. She received her bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Loyola University and a master's degree in Business Administration from Wesleyan University.
