ITC Final Determination Notice Minimally Affects Only a Few SiRF Customers

SAN JOSE, Calif., Jan. 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SiRF Technology Holdings, Inc. , a leading provider of GPS-powered, location-aware platforms, today announced that the International Trade Commission ("ITC") has issued a Notice of Final Determination in Broadcom's ITC case against SiRF. The Notice adheres to the Federal Circuit's October 14, 2008 Kyocera decision that ITC limited exclusion orders only impact parties named in the investigation. Other than the four named customers in the investigation, all other SiRF customers are not affected.

"We are pleased that the Commission followed the Federal Circuit's Kyocera ruling, which significantly limits the impact to our customer base," said Kanwar Chadha, founder of SiRF. "While disappointed with the Commission's ruling as it relates to its patent infringement findings regarding SiRF's earlier products, we continue to work closely with the named customers to conform with the Commission's ruling and enable them to maintain uninterrupted product delivery to market."

The Final Determination is subject to a sixty-day Presidential review period and can then be appealed to the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit (the "Federal Circuit").
