BROOMFIELD, Colo., Jan. 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Level 3 Communications, Inc. announced that a jury returned a verdict today finding that Limelight Networks, Inc. did not infringe two of the content delivery patents held by Level 3. The jury expressly rejected Limelight's assertion that the patents are invalid. The verdict comes at the conclusion of a trial in the U.S. District Court in Norfolk, Virginia. Level 3 acquired the two patents-in-suit (and several others) when it purchased the content delivery business of Savvis, Inc. in January 2007.
