Deane Dray Joins FBR Capital Markets' Equity Research Team

ARLINGTON, Va., Jan. 28 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- FBR Capital Markets Corporation (FBR Capital Markets), a leading investment bank serving the middle market, announced today that Deane M. Dray, CFA, has joined the firm's Equity Research team as Senior Vice President within its Diversified Industrials group. The addition of Mr. Dray will expand the group's Capital Goods coverage to include both the Multi-Industry and Water subsectors.

Mr. Dray, a 25-year veteran of Wall Street, joins FBR Capital Markets from Goldman Sachs where he was a senior industrials analyst and covered Multi-Industry & Electrical Equipment companies for more than ten years. In two of the past three years, Mr. Dray has been ranked by StarMine as the #1 earnings estimator for Industrial Conglomerates.

Prior to his tenure at Goldman Sachs, Mr. Dray spent a decade at Lehman Brothers as an equity research analyst, an institutional salesperson, and a staff officer to the president and CEO. Earlier in his career, he served as a manager within Andersen Consulting's Financial Services group developing strategic and operational information systems for the financial services sector.

Additionally, for the past three years, Mr. Dray has served as a member of the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI) which assists developing countries with gaining better access to drinking water and waste water treatment resources.

Mr. Dray received a Bachelor of Arts from Brown University with honors and completed an MBA at the New York University Leonard N. Stern School of Business. He is also a CFA charterholder.
