“Launch of Maryland IT Rocks! Is a New Community for Everything IT”
The Tech Council of Maryland (TCM), representing more than 500 companies in the nation’s second largest technology hub, announced today that it has launched Maryland IT Rocks! on Facebook - a new Web 2.0 community specifically for IT professionals.
Maryland IT Rocks! is for all IT professionals to meet and exchange ideas and information about Maryland and the Mid-Atlantic's booming IT community. IT fans can gather virtually simply by signing on to Facebook at www.facebook.com and then signing up for the Maryland IT Rocks! group by using the search function. IT professionals who already have a Facebook account can easily be a part of the community by searching for Maryland IT Rocks and join.
“We activated the community and got over 50 members in the first two hours,” said Rick Harris, Executive Director, MdTech Division of the Tech Council of Maryland. “Sign on and see if you know someone and be sure to invite all your friends who are involved in IT to participate.”
Visitors to Maryland IT Rocks! will be able to share their IT and advanced technology expertise, advice, war stories and news with other IT pros in the Mid-Atlantic region.
