ST. LOUIS, Jan. 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The Board of Directors of The Laclede Group, Inc. today elected George E. Godat to the position of Vice President, Resource Management of The Group's nonregulated natural gas marketing subsidiary, Laclede Energy Resources, Inc. (LER). LER is The Laclede Group's second largest subsidiary in terms of revenue, generating approximately $1.1 billion in business in fiscal 2008.
Godat, 39, has been Assistant to the Executive Vice President of Laclede Gas Company since February 2008. Prior to that position, Mr. Godat was the Director of Gas Supply at the gas company. He joined Laclede Gas in 1992 as an engineer and has held numerous positions in the utility's operating departments and, since 1996, in the area of gas supply.
He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology (formerly University of Missouri-Rolla) in 1991.
