Cogdell Spencer Announces Nurkin as President of the Mid-Atlantic Region

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Feb. 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Cogdell Spencer Inc. announces the promotion of Matthew Nurkin to President of the Mid-Atlantic Region of Erdman, A Cogdell Spencer Company.

Based in the Company's Charlotte office, Mr. Nurkin will focus on the client relationship and will be responsible for all design-build and development projects in the states of North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. The Company offers integrated healthcare real estate services from strategic planning to development and delivery to long term ownership and management. Mr. Nurkin will report to Scott Ransom, President and Chief Executive Officer of Erdman.

Mr. Nurkin joined Cogdell Spencer Advisors in 1996 to expand the Company's activities in the ownership and debt restructuring of existing hospital and physician-owned facilities. His prior experience includes the analysis of various investments, including real estate, public/private equity and derivative instruments.

During his career with Cogdell Spencer, Mr. Nurkin has held positions of increasing responsibility. Most recently serving as Vice President of Acquisitions, he has overseen $225 million of capital transactions since the Company went public in late 2005.

Mr. Nurkin holds a Masters in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Wake Forest University. In 2006, Nurkin was named as one of Charlotte Business Journal's "40 Under 40".
