General Dynamics Board Elects Geiger and Hayduk as Vice Presidents

FALLS CHURCH, Va., March 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The board of directors of General Dynamics yesterday elected Jeffrey S. Geiger and Kenneth R. Hayduk as vice presidents of the corporation.

Hayduk, 48, has been staff vice president of taxes since May 2008, in which position he directs the company's tax department. He will continue to serve in that role, reporting to L. Hugh Redd, senior vice president and chief financial officer. Hayduk joined General Dynamics in 2003 as tax counsel. Previously, he was a partner with the Baker & McKenzie law firm in Washington, D.C. He began his career as a law clerk at the U.S. Tax Court. He earned a bachelor's degree in accounting and finance from Rider University (Lawrenceville, N.J.), a law degree from The George Washington University (Washington, D.C.) and a Master's of Law in Taxation from New York University.

Geiger, as previously announced, will succeed John F. Shipway as president of Bath Iron Works on April 1, reporting to David K. Heebner, executive vice president, Marine Systems. Shipway is retiring. Geiger, 47, currently is senior vice president of operations at Bath Iron Works. He joined the company in 1984 as a production planner, and advanced through a series of progressively more-responsible positions in production engineering, production control, manufacturing engineering, planning and quality assurance until achieving his current position in March 2008.
