NEW YORK, March 19 /PRNewswire/ -- McGraw-Hill Construction's Architectural Record and Engineering News-Record (ENR) today received seven Jesse H. Neal Business Journalism Awards from American Business Media (ABM). Architectural Record's Editor-in-Chief Robert Ivy was also honored as ABM's 2009 Crain Award Winner at the awards event in New York, and ArchitecturalRecord.com was named Min's Best of the Web for Editorial Excellence in the B2B category earlier this week, adding to the numerous awards McGraw-Hill Construction has received lately.

Called "the Pulitzer Prize of the Business Media," the prestigious Jesse H. Neal Awards recognize editorial excellence in business-to-business publications. ENR received four Neal Awards for "Best Single Article" for its "Higher Learning" article in the Nov. 3/10 issue; "Best Subject-related Series of Articles" for its "Extreme Construction" article in the Feb. 25/Mar. 3 issue; "Best News Coverage" for its "Momentum Intensifies for Crane Safety Programs" article in the May 5 issue; and "Best Use of Video" for its ENR.com "Construction Comes to Life" video. Architectural Record received three Neal Awards for "Best Single Issue of a Magazine" for its November 2008 issue; "Best Website" for ArchitecturalRecord.com, and "Best Online Article or Series" for "Record Reveals: Boston," a multimedia-rich series of articles and coverage of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) National Convention in May 2008.

Robert Ivy, Vice President and Editorial Director, McGraw-Hill Construction Media, was also honored at the ABM Neal Awards as the 2009 Crain Award Winner, the 41st annual recipient of this prestigious award. A thoughtful and experienced leader, Robert Ivy oversees the editorial quality of 16 print and 17 digital publications. "Bob Ivy exemplifies editorial excellence and protects the integrity of our media relentlessly, with remarkable vision and insight," said James H. McGraw, IV, Vice President and Group Publisher, McGraw-Hill Construction.

ArchitecturalRecord.com received Min's "Best of the Web: Editorial Excellence - B2B" Award on March 18 for its success providing professional audiences with "mission-critical information [while] reminding them in so many ways of the passion and majesty of the field," says the Minonline.com article. Impressive elements of the interactive website include the wide scope of coverage, active blogs and discussion forums, an expansive video library, responsive editors and bloggers, and opportunities for continuing education.

Architectural Record and ArchitecturalRecord.com, which provide a mix of print and multimedia news and information, have received several recent awards, including the Magazine Publishers of America 2008 "Website of the Year: Enthusiast," two 2008 Silver Ozzie Awards from FOLIO: for "Best Cover" and "Best Use of Photography," a 2007 Bronze Ozzie Award for Best Site Design, and BtoB Media Business' 10 Great Media Websites List in 2007.
