US Helicopter, the 8-Minute Airport Shuttle, Resumes Service at Downtown Manhattan Heliport

NEW YORK, March 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- US Helicopter Corporation (USHP) is pleased to announce the resumption of its scheduled service at Downtown Manhattan Heliport, near Wall Street, as of March 27, 2009.

US Helicopter again offers a full daily schedule of flights from Downtown Manhattan Heliport to both JFK and Newark Liberty Airports. Starting at 7am, US Helicopter operates scheduled flights from Downtown Manhattan Heliport to JFK and EWR, connecting to its partner airlines Delta and Continental Airlines. Flights from East 34 Street Heliport, where service has remained uninterrupted, commences at 1:15 PM to JFK and EWR daily, Monday through Friday.

The new management company of Downtown Manhattan Heliport is now FirstFlight. Commenting on the resumption of service, FirstFlight President & CEO Ron Ricciardi said, "We are delighted to work in partnership with US Helicopter to expand scheduled airline service from Lower Manhattan to all parts of the world. Through US Helicopter we are partnered with two great US airlines - Delta and Continental Airlines."

Since its inception in March 2006, US Helicopter's scheduled service affords business travelers countless hours of saved time and a hassle free airport commute. Passengers check-in, receive their boarding pass, check baggage and clear TSA security screening through to their final destination(1), all at the heliport. They then board the luxury aircrafts and enjoy an eight-minute flight, along with the spectacular sites of the Manhattan skyline and avoiding long lines upon their arrival at the airport.
