WSFS Opens New Banking Office in Lewes

WILMINGTON, Del., April 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- WSFS Financial Corporation , the parent company of WSFS Bank, today announced the opening of a new banking office located at 34383 Carpenters Way in Lewes, DE. The Bank is pleased to be able to relocate its banking office to a larger space that includes safe deposit boxes, as well as, the addition of drive-up lanes containing two teller lines and an ATM, a full staff of personal bankers and weekend hours.

"The expanded facility in Lewes is evidence that WSFS is dedicated to strengthening Sussex County," said Richard M. Wright, Executive Vice President of Retail Banking & Marketing for WSFS Bank. "We are thrilled to put down more permanent roots in this tight-knit community and offer the residents of Lewes expanded banking services."

To celebrate the grand opening, the Bank held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Monday, April 6 at 10:00 a.m. In attendance were honored guests, WSFS customers and Associates. "The City of Lewes is grateful to WSFS for their commitment to this community. With the opening of a new branch and support of the Lewes Concert Series, the partnership between the bank and the city is extremely beneficial," said Mayor James L. Ford. Also in attendance were the City of Lewes Police Chief Ronald "Beau" Gooch and John Yore, Principal of Cape Henlopen High School.

"We are excited to offer the residents of Lewes a larger, more convenient banking office filled with amenities that we were unable to provide in the other location," said Tyrone Gray, Retail Office Manager for the Lewes banking office. "All of these additional amenities will allow us to deliver the highest quality of Stellar Service to our customers."

In addition to the Lewes branch, WSFS has banking offices is Rehoboth Beach, Long Neck and Selbyville. Later this year, WSFS will be opening banking offices in Millsboro and Ocean View in May and June, respectively, providing a total six banking offices serving Sussex County.

The WSFS Lewes banking office has extended banking hours. The Bank is open Monday-Thursday 9 a.m. - 6 p.m., Friday 9 a.m. - 7 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. The drive-up opens at 8 a.m. Monday-Friday and 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. In addition, there are more than 300 WSFS ATMs positioned in and around Delaware providing convenience and access for WSFS customers.

A grand opening celebration is planned for Saturday, April 18 from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. The grand opening festivities will include giveaways like a 42" flat screen TV and $100 restaurant gift certificates, great activities for kids, food, music and more.
