Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico Reports Passenger Traffic Decrease of 10.4% for April 2009

GUADALAJARA, Mexico, May 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico, S.A.B. de C.V. (NYSE: PAC; BMV: GAP) ("the Company" or "GAP") announced today preliminary terminal passenger traffic figures for the month of April 2009 compared to traffic figures for April 2008.

During April 2009, total terminal passengers decreased 10.4% compared to the previous year; international passenger traffic decreased 4.5%, and domestic passenger traffic decreased 13.5% compared to April 2008.

Regarding material events for the month, during the last week of April, the epidemiological alert level was raised from a 'Phase 3' to a 'Phase 4', and currently to a 'Phase 5' alert due to the AH1N1 flu virus epidemic, which the Company estimates will affect both domestic and international passenger traffic flows and has already led to the cancellation of flights arriving from Canada, the United States, as well as some domestic flights due to a lack of passengers.

The effects of the AH1N1 flu on traffic and operations at GAP's airports will depend on the duration of the sanitary crisis in Mexico, as well as tourists' perception of the containment of the epidemic.
