Hortica Insurance delivery to focus on training and knowledge transfer to internal resources
AgencyPort, the leading provider of web-based solutions designed specifically for property and casualty insurers, today announced the first license deal associated with the latest AgencyPortal Version 4.0 and AP Toolkit. Hortica Insurance & Employee Benefits becomes the 51st AgencyPort customer.
The key driver in the decision to go with AgencyPortal’s latest version and the AP Toolkit was Hortica’s goal of developing and maintaining an agent facing application framework with internal resources. At the heart of AgencyPortal v. 4.0 is the AP Toolkit, a unique web-based tool that allows carriers to configure and maintain their insurance products on the web. The AP Toolkit will allow Hortica to create, update and manage all aspects of their AgencyPortal implementation. Configuration by internal resources includes, but is not limited to:
- ACORD-based Commercial Line Templates
- New Business, Quick Quote, Endorsement Applications
- Pages, sections, fields, field helpers, field validations
- Underwriting Rules
- Messages displayed to users
- Dropdown lists
“From a product development and delivery perspective, AgencyPort continues to strive to offer insurance companies flexibility associated with the implementation of our products. To compete in the marketplace today, it is imperative for our products and professional services organization to meet the varied needs of our carrier customers,” stated Senior Vice President Curt Stevenson at AgencyPort. “For customers like Hortica, our delivery emphasis will be on training and knowledge transfer as opposed to applying AgencyPort resources to the initial development phase.”
“Throughout our evaluation process, AgencyPort consistently demonstrated professionalism, domain expertise, implementation experience and an outstanding solution set. AgencyPortal and the AP Toolkit will allow us to more quickly realize our corporate objectives of increased premium growth with increased cost efficiency,” said Mona Haberer, Chief Executive Officer for Hortica Insurance. “We are excited to be a part of the AgencyPort customer family.”
