Iconic Retailer Opens at Scottsdale Quarter / Apple Inc. opens store in North Scottsdale

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., June 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- On Friday, June 12 at 6 p.m. PDT, Apple opens the doors to their largest store in Arizona at Scottsdale Quarter, North Scottsdale's newest shopping district at the intersection of Scottsdale Road and Greenway-Hayden Loop.

The Cupertino-based company will occupy nearly 10,000 square feet of space at the outdoor lifestyle center. "We are very pleased and excited to have Apple join our notable retailer line-up at Scottsdale Quarter," said Michael Glimcher, chairman and CEO of Glimcher Realty Trust, owner, developer and manager of the property. "We believe having a high profile Apple store is a major win for the Scottsdale Quarter community. This store will compliment the retail, restaurant, entertainment and office customers at Scottsdale Quarter."

Apple joins Williams-Sonoma Home, west elm and Brio Tuscan Grille, Nike, Hennes & Mauritz (H&M), Oakville Grocery, and Parc Central, all of which are open or will open by year-end and will bring their first location to Arizona.

Other notable commitments include Gold Class Cinemas, Fox Restaurant Group's True Foods, Momenti Cafe, Optica (fashion eyewear), Sunglass Hut, Santorini Mediterranean Cuisine (modern Mediterranean cuisine), StingRay Sushi, Bing Crosby's restaurant and Socrati (fashion footwear). "We're thrilled that these sought-after retailers are joining us to create this unique addition to the Scottsdale area," said Michael Glimcher. Additional retailers and restaurants will be announced as the second phase of the project continues to progress.

About Scottsdale Quarter

Scottsdale Quarter is a 28-acre project with 370,000 square feet of mixed-use retail and restaurant options; 35,000 square feet of entertainment; and 205,000 square feet of office space amid elegant, diverse architecture and lush landscaping. The project also includes a hotel and residential component that will be developed by others independently from the retail and office space being developed by Glimcher. Construction on the lifestyle center began last October. Scottsdale Quarter sits on the southeast corner of Scottsdale Road and the Greenway-Hayden Loop, across from Kierland Commons.
