SeaBright Insurance Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:SBX) announced today the results of its annual customer satisfaction survey. For 2008, feedback from SeaBright’s brokers, policyholders and claimants once again indicated a high level of overall customer satisfaction and improved ratings as compared to the prior year.
As it did in the prior year, SeaBright retained an independent research and consulting firm and conducted a customer satisfaction survey in late 2008. This survey randomly sampled 153 policyholders, 32 brokers, and 595 injured workers including some whose claims were in litigation. The survey asked respondents to rate SeaBright’s services on a one-to-ten scale with one indicating “Completely Dissatisfied” and ten signifying “Completely Satisfied.”
Policyholders rated their overall satisfaction with SeaBright’s claims and loss control services at 9.1 for 2008, up from 8.8 for 2007. Ratings from brokers showed a similar increase; 8.5 in 2008 as compared to 8.1 in 2007. Injured workers rated services at 8.3 in 2008, substantially higher than the prior year’s rating of 7.4. The Company uses the information gained to assure that service provided is of high quality and continues to meet customer needs. It also reveals opportunities to enhance service beyond the company’s current offerings.
