ATLANTA, June 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Oxford Industries, Inc. announced today that Thomas C. Chubb III, has been named President of the Company.

Mr. Chubb, 45, started with the Company as a summer intern in 1988 and has served in a variety of roles, most recently as the Company's Executive Vice President, a position he has held since 2004. Mr. Chubb holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from The University of Georgia.

J. Hicks Lanier, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, commented, "The Board's appointment of Tom as President is an affirmation of the very important role he has played, and continues to play, for the Company. Tom worked with me as part of a small group of executives that developed the strategy to transform the Company from a private label manufacturer to a company featuring a portfolio of owned and licensed brands. He has worked tirelessly to help me and the Company execute that strategy. Tom's promotion is a natural evolution of his growing responsibility within our Company. We are grateful to Tom for his contributions and are honored to have him serve our Company."

As President, Mr. Chubb will continue to report to J. Hicks Lanier, the Company's Chairman and CEO.
