Gates Corporation announced that it has filed a lawsuit against Dorman Products, Inc. in the United States District Court for the District of Colorado. The lawsuit alleges that Dorman is engaged in false advertising and unfair competition based on Dorman’s advertising and sale of certain aftermarket automatic belt tensioners. Gates has requested a jury trial and seeks from the court a variety of remedies, including permanent injunctive relief, monetary damages, costs and attorneys’ fees.
