Overstock.com Announces Day One Winners of 10th Anniversary 'Daily Dig' and 'Twitter Like its 1999' Sweepstakes / Grand Prize Winner of 2010 Toyota Prius hybrid to be announced on October 12, 2009

SALT LAKE CITY, Oct. 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Overstock.com, Inc. announced today that Jamie Tice of Williamston, North Carolina is the first winner of the 10th Anniversary "Daily Dig" sweepstakes. Tice won a home theater system that includes a 42 inch plasma television. Also, Joyce Japlit of Los Angeles, California is the first winner of the "Twitter Like its 1999" online Twitter sweepstakes. Japlit received a Canon PowerShot digital camera. To enter the sweepstakes visit http://www.overstock.com/

"Daily Dig" contestants still have the opportunity to win a $5,000 jewelry package, a moped, a smart phone package, luxury watch, one year's free gas, a residential room makeover worth $5,000, a $5,000 shopping spree on Overstock.com, and a dream vacation package worth $5,000. The winner of the day ten grand prize of a 2010 Toyota Prius hybrid will be announced on October 12.

The "Daily Dig" sweepstakes participants can visit http://www.overstock.com/ to find a link to the contest page where contestants are given one clue each day to the "Daily Dig." The daily clue will guide them to search and find a specific product on the Overstock.com site. That day's specific product page will feature a 10th Anniversary logo with a link to enter to win that day's prize. Also on the contest entry page, participants can share the contest with friends and family.

As part of the "Twitter Like its 1999" sweepstakes participants will need to visit http://www.overstock.com/twitter1999 each day to see what prize is up for grabs, and how to enter. To enter participants will need to follow Overstock.com on twitter (@overstock), visit http://www.overstock.com/twitter1999 each day from October 1-10 to see that day's 1999 Twitter theme. Users are then asked to tweet what they were doing in 1999, according to that day's contest theme and being sure to include the contest link and the #In1999 hash tag.
