PHOENIX, Nov. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Phoenix NAP, a next generation datacenter and network access point, announced today Level 3 Communications has completed a fiber build into the Phoenix NAP facility. This new point-of-presence serves as an E-PoP for Level 3 Communications.
"We're thrilled to have a provider carrier like Level 3 in our datacenter. The combination of service and Tier 1 bandwidth they provide is a great benefit to our clients and businesses looking for a quality network solution," said Jordan Jacobs, director of operations for Phoenix NAP.
Level 3 will offer High Speed IP services out of its E-PoP in Phoenix NAP, as well as additional transport and transit options within its suite of services. Private line, wavelength, Ethernet private line and a wide-range of VPN (virtual private network) connectivity solutions will be available.
"Level 3 is constantly seeking ways to expand its footprint to increase the number of businesses that can take advantage of our broad service portfolio, so directly connecting our network to the Phoenix NAP simply made sense," said Jack Waters, Level 3's chief technology officer.
Clients that want Level 3 services have the option of either going directly to Level 3 or to Phoenix NAP. All Level 3 services offered out of Phoenix NAP will be available next month, when the datacenter's meet-me room is completed.
