Rich Greene Joins Lockheed Martin / Former State Department Foreign Assistance Leader to Manage Corporation's Global Aid and Development Programs

LAUREL, Md., Dec. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Rich Greene has joined Lockheed Martin Corporation as the Director of Global Aid and Development.

Greene joins the corporation from the State Department where he most recently served as the Acting Director of U.S. Foreign Assistance, helping manage the $35 billion annual foreign aid budget and ensuring that government funding was used effectively to meet American policy objectives. In this role he also was responsible for the planning and coordination of all foreign assistance programs, which touch more than 150 countries through ten separate federal agencies.

Greene previously served as the Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State in the Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration. In that capacity he managed humanitarian assistance and refugee resettlement programs and oversaw U.S. assistance to United Nations agencies, the Red Cross and other non-governmental organizations.
