The Global Investment Research Challenge is an annual contest sponsored by CFA Institute whereby local CFA Institute chapters host and launch an investment research competition in conjunction with participating area universities. The universities assemble teams of three to five business finance students who work directly with a company in researching and preparing a company analysis. Each team's final presentation is evaluated by a high-profile panel consisting of heads of research, portfolio managers, and chief investment officers from area firms. The local champions will advance to regional competitions in the Americas, Asia, and Europe with winners moving on to the global finale, which this year is being held on April 17th in Hong Kong.
