Savvis Fills Two Key Sales Positions

ST. LOUIS, March 12, 2010 /PRNewswire/ --

- Company enhances sales and marketing efforts, as it continues to focus on geographic, vertical and product expansion in 2010

SAVVIS, Inc. (Nasdaq: SVVS), a global leader in cloud infrastructure and hosted IT solutions for enterprises, today announced that it has filled two key sales positions with the appointment of Jim Mori as senior vice president of U.S. sales and the addition of George Bacon as vice president of consulting services. This announcement complements the recent appointment of Jim Ousley as chief executive officer, who also brings strong sales and marketing experience to the company.

Savvis is currently in the midst of enhancing its sales efforts on a vertical basis, including the areas of financial, media and software-as-a-service (SaaS). In addition, the company is refining its cloud services sales execution, as this offering is expected to show continued strong growth.

Jim Mori has been with Savvis since 1999. Most recently, he had responsibility for customer service and sales enablement and support, where he focused on maximizing both the client experience and Savvis profitability through asset optimization. He also previously served as managing director of U.S. sales and has held a variety of sales leadership and operational roles at the company. Prior to joining Savvis, Jim served in various sales roles at Digital Equipment Corporation, Southwestern Bell and AT&T Information Systems. He also spent 13 years in sales at Sprint.

"We're very pleased to have Jim move back into a sales role here at Savvis," said Bill Fathers, senior vice president and global head of sales and marketing. "For the past two years, Jim has been dedicated to client care and to improving our client satisfaction and loyalty scores. We look forward to seeing continued great results from him, as he shifts his focus to strengthening our sales function and to expanding our efforts on both a geographic and vertical basis."

"Another critical area for Savvis in 2010 is to build and grow our consulting services practice, and George Bacon is a great addition to the Savvis team focused on this effort," continued Bill Fathers. "George's background includes an extensive professional services career, including both consulting and managed services, and his experience is expected to benefit Savvis, as he leads the consulting services team."

Prior to joining Savvis, George Bacon served as chief executive officer of iSmart Panache, a professional services organization. He also worked for Tata Consultancy Services as senior vice president of its global consulting practice, at Computer Sciences Corporation as senior vice president of outsourcing, and as an associate partner at Andersen Consulting.

Vorsicht, geheim!
