Rasmussen, Inc. Appoints Herman Bulls to Board of Directors / Retired Army Officer and Founder of Jones Lang LaSalle's Highly Acclaimed Public Institutions Practice Joins Rasmussen, Inc. Board of Directors

CHICAGO, March 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Rasmussen, Inc., announces the appointment of Colonel Herman Bulls, U.S. Army Reserve-Retired, to its Board of Directors. A retired army officer and founder of Jones Lang LaSalle's highly acclaimed public institutions specialty, Colonel Bulls joins Rasmussen at a time of continued growth and expansion.

Combining U.S. military leadership experience with expertise in multiple facets of business and finance, Bulls currently leads the securitization of tens of thousands of military housing units as CEO of Public Institutions at Jones Lang LaSalle, a leading global real estate services firm. Bulls also serves as President and CEO of Bulls Capital Partners, a minority controlled firm and Fannie Mae Delegated Underwriting Service (DUS) lender. The company's capabilities include small loan and affordable housing solutions, market-rate multifamily mortgages and credit facilities, among other offerings.

Bulls joins a board that includes Dr. Henry S. Bienen, Former President, Northwestern University and Dr. Therese Fitzpatrick, Executive Vice President of Assay Healthcare Solutions, among other notable industry and academic leaders.

For more than two decades, Bulls has worked in the areas of development, investment management and business development and retention at Jones Lang LaSalle. During this time, Bulls founded the organization's well-recognized Public Institutions specialty practice, focused on delivering integrated real estate solutions to government entities, nonprofit organizations, transportation facilities and higher education institutions.

Bulls' professional affiliations and memberships include the Executive Leadership Council, an organization of senior African American business executives from Fortune 500 companies. He is also a member of the West Point Association of Graduates Board of Directors where he serves as Vice Chairman, the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO), Leadership Washington and the Real Estate Executive Council (REEC). Bulls is a founding member and former President of the African American Real Estate Professionals (AAREP) of Washington, D.C. Bulls is a member of the Real Estate Advisory Committee for the New York State Teachers' Retirement System (NYSTRS), one of the largest pension funds in the nation. In addition, Bulls serves as International Director of Global Markets in the Washington, D.C. office of Jones Lang LaSalle. Moreover, Bulls is on the Board of Directors of Comfort Systems, USA, where he serves on the Governance and Compensation Committees.

Bulls earned his MBA in finance from Harvard Business School and received a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point. He served over 12 years of active duty service with the U.S. Army. His last active duty assignments were working in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Financial Management at the Pentagon and as an Assistant Professor of Economics and Finance at West Point. Bulls has completed the Army's Airborne, Ranger and Command and General Staff College courses and served overseas in the Republic of Korea.
