UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif., March 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Universal CityWalk kicks off Spring Break Live! with free rock n' roll concert performances by popular Southern California bands, the KIIS FM Wango Tango Breakout Star and the Hard Rock Cafe's Ambassador of Rock band competitions, beginning Friday, March 26.
The music festival begins with such Southern California bands as I'm OK You're OK, Petree, Stereofix, My Hero, Fallbrooke, The BG5, Satellite Crush, The Wallburds, The Victors, Adam's Attic, Starving for Gravity and Paperback Hero rocking the CityWalk stage on March 26, 27; April 2, 3 and May 1, 8 from 8:00 to 10:00 p.m.
The KIIS Wango Tango Breakout Star competition will take place every Friday with weekly performances by five area bands. The event runs from April 9 - 30. The series will culminate on May 7 as top band contenders compete in the grand prize finale for a chance to win $10,000 and the opportunity to appear in the KIIS FM Wango Tango Festival at the Village Stage on May 15.
CityWalk's battle of the bands continues on Saturday nights with Hard Rock Cafe's Ambassadors of Rock. Weekly performances will take place on April 10, 17 and 24. Bands will compete for a coveted spot at the Hard Rock Calling concert in London on June 25 and 26.
